Pear Waldorf Pitas

Healthy but full of flavor, these low-calorie treats will brighten up your next luncheon or shower. To make them a bit more substantial, add some shredded chicken and watch how fast they vanish! Tuck each one into a colorful napkin for a lively visual presentation.

Ingredients:

2 Pittman & Davis Pears, diced

½ c. celery, thinly sliced

½ c. seedless red grapes, halved

2 Tbsp. walnuts, finely chopped

2 Tbsp. lemon yogurt

2 tbsp. mayonnaise

⅛ tsp. poppy seeds

10 mini pitas, halved

Lettuce leaves, for garnish

Directions:

  • In large bowl combine pears, celery, grapes, and walnuts. In another bowl, whisk together yogurt, mayonnaise and poppy seeds. Add to pear mixture; toss to coat. Refrigerate one hour or overnight.
  • Line pita halves with lettuce; fill each with 2 tablespoons pear mixture and serve.
