Pittman & Davis April 2019 Grove Update

By: Pittman & Davis | On: | Category: Grove Update

Mangoes are harvested by hand just before peak ripeness, based on color, size, and feel. This ensures that each ripens to perfection at the ideal time after being picked.

A southern mango tree can produce as much as six to seven feet of new growth per year. The new limbs and leaves support dense, healthy crops.

The full rounded heart shape, and pink to red blush are both indicators of this mango approaching perfect ripeness. In just a few more sunny days the red color will expand, and this fruit will be ready to pick.
