Fall is coming, and fall fruit peared – er, that is, paired! – with sweet cinnamon is always a fragrant treat. So simple and yummy, these warm and buttery chopped pears are delicious when served with your favorite granola as a topping for vanilla ice cream. Use any type of pear, or substitute an Orchard Fresh Apple. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 Pittman & Davis Pear (Bartlett, Comice, D’Anjou, etc.)
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
¼ tsp. cinnamon
¼ c. granola
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
Directions:
- In a small sauté pan, melt butter over medium heat; add chopped pears. Cook until softened and slightly browned; about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat. Add cinnamon and stir together.
- To serve: scoop ice cream into bowls and top with granola and warm pears. Enjoy!
